Graeme Dennis Obituary, Death – The passing of Graeme Dennis, a much-loved member of the Parkdale Vultures Amateur Football Club, is something that the club announces with heavy hearts and a profound sense of sadness. Graeme passed away yesterday morning after a valiant fight against cancer. He left behind a legacy of love, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the club that he held closest to his heart.

A Dedicated Journey at Parkdale Vultures

The year 2014 marked the year that Graeme and his cherished wife Ann became members of the Parkdale Vultures family. Their journey started in the canteen, where they put in a lot of effort to make it not only the best in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA), but also something that could be considered one of the best in Melbourne. They established a benchmark of excellence that will be remembered for many years to come thanks to their unwavering commitment and enthusiasm for the club.

In 2014, Graeme and Ann made the decision to leave their previous position as canteen managers at Mordialloc-Braeside, where they had established themselves for seven years. A profound connection with the Vultures and the wider football community began with their relocation to Parkdale, which marked the beginning of this connection.

Life Membership and Unwavering Support

A Life Membership was bestowed upon Graeme in recognition of his unwavering dedication to the Parkdale Vultures at the end of the previous year. It was a testament to the breadth of his contributions and the enduring influence he had on the club that he was awarded this honor. Everyone who had the good fortune to know him was left with a profound impression due to his lack of self-interest, his tireless work ethic, and his genuine desire to make a positive contribution to the community.

Beyond the confines of Parkdale, Graeme was actively involved in the community football scene. His lifelong passion for the game and the sense of community that it encouraged remained with him throughout his entire existence. His friendly smile and upbeat demeanor became inextricably linked to the Parkdale Vultures, and his absence will be keenly felt by all of the team members.

The life of Graeme Dennis will be commemorated with a memorial service that will take place at Gerry Green Reserve on Thursday, March 7th, at eleven in the morning. During this service, members of the Parkdale Vultures community, as well as friends and well-wishers, will have the opportunity to come together, share memories, and express their deepest condolences to a remarkable individual.

Due to the fact that Graeme has passed away, there is a void that cannot be easily filled, and the collective support of the club will be a source of strength during this challenging time.
