The Fire Department of New York (FDNY) is saddened to announce the passing of Active Member, Firefighter Jason E. Baldwin, of Ladder Company 46, on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
Jason was more than just a firefighter; he was a cherished son-in-law, a devoted spouse, and a loving father. His legacy of service and dedication will forever be remembered by his colleagues, friends, and the community he served.
Jason leaves behind his beloved family: his spouse Kelly, their 2-year-old son Greyson, his parents Barbara and John Baldwin, his in-laws Debbie and Tom Evans, his brother Bryan, his sister Caitlan Bose, and numerous extended family members and friends. His passing is mourned deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In honor of Firefighter Jason E. Baldwin’s memory, the family has requested that donations be made to The Firefighter Jason E. Baldwin Children’s Scholarship Fund. Contributions can be sent to The FDNY Foundation or made online, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting Jason’s son, Greyson. This scholarship fund will ensure that Jason’s legacy of service continues to make a difference in the lives of others for years to come.
Arrangements for Firefighter Baldwin’s services have been confirmed as follows:
- Visitation: March 3, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, located at 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY 10990.
- Mass of Christian Burial: March 4, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Stephen The First Martyr, situated at 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY 10990.
- Private Cremation to follow.
