A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on August 11, 1965, to the late Ronnie Garner and Mary Ann (Davis) Prince. From her earliest days, Kandy’s gentle spirit and caring nature endeared her to all who crossed her path.

Throughout her life, Kandy found joy and fulfillment in her role as a devoted homemaker. She cherished the time spent with her beloved family, creating cherished memories that will endure for generations to come. Many affectionately called her “Granny,” a testament to the love and affection she bestowed upon those around her.
In addition to her parents, Kandy was preceded in death by her son, Alex “Tutter” Garner, and her former husband, Ralph Johnson. She is also survived by her siblings, Ronnie (Susan) Garner Jr. of Hillsboro, Joe Garner of Cowan, and Carolyn Kay Garner of Cowan, as well as her step-father, John D. Prince of Winchester. Kandy’s grandchildren, Tristyn Barnes, Aidan Walls, Jacey Walls, and Caitlyn Walls, were the light of her life, bringing her immense joy and happiness.

As Kandy’s family expands to welcome a soon-to-be great-grandchild, her legacy of love and devotion will continue to thrive.
