Richard’s journey began on April 16, 1960, in Howard, PA, as the son of Gerald and Sarah Davy Crust. A proud graduate of Bellefonte High School in 1979, Richard embraced life with a passion for the outdoors, finding joy in activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping.
On November 22, 1997, Richard united in matrimony with the love of his life, Belinda McCloskey. Together, they embarked on countless adventures, exploring 35 states and three countries, creating memories that will forever be cherished.
Professionally, Richard dedicated himself to his work at Bull Rogers Casing in Hobbs, NM, until disability led him back home to Pennsylvania. Despite the challenges, Richard’s resilient spirit continued to shine, surrounded by the love and support of his family.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and George Crust. He is survived by his devoted wife, Belinda, and their three sons, Gerald and Shawn Crust of Lock Haven, and Zachery Crust of Monument.
His legacy further lives on through his three daughters, April Cother of Phoenix, AZ, Samantha Crust of Lock Haven, and Skyler Crust of Monument, along with five grandchildren.
A close-knit family, Richard leaves behind three brothers, Robert Crust (Missy) of Spring Mills, Glen Crust of Coudersport, and Scott Crust (Pennie) of Mill Hall, and a sister, Katheryn Goodman (Jess) of State College.
Special mentions go to his sister-in-law, Laura Mayes of Monument, and lifelong partners in crime, Jamie Kitner of Mill Hall, and Chad Kitner of Williamsport.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5-7 PM on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Singer Kader Neff Funeral Home in Howard. The funeral service will take place at 11 AM on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the same location, as we come together to celebrate the life of Richard Crust.
