Assemblyman Robert Smullen reports that his son passed away in Niskayuana, thirteen days after being struck by a car. “AJ’s fight is over, please pray for his soul in heaven,” Smullen wrote on Facebook.
On February 22, AJ was retaliated against in front of Bellevue Women’s Hospital. According to the Assemblyman, when the collision occurred, AJ was playing with his buddies.
Since the collision, the teenager has been receiving treatment at Albany Medical Center for a brain injury.
Parts of Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, and Oneida Counties as well as all of Hamilton County comprise the 118th Assembly District, which is represented by Smullen.
