Kaden Strickland Obituary News: The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the person killed near Rowland, N.C., Tuesday night.

Deputies, along with homicide and crime scene investigators, were called to the area of Downy Road and Midway Road just before 11 p.m.,

where they found the body of a 17-year-old Purnell Swett High School student.

Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said Kaden Strickland, of Pembroke, was found shot at the scene.

Details about the investigation are still limited.

POLICE RESPONSES

Robeson County Sheriff’s Office investigators are investigating the death of a 17-year-old Purnell Swett High School student.

On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at approximately 10:58 p.m., Robeson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Downy Rd., Rowland, in reference to an individual shot.

Kaden Strickland, 17, of Pembroke, was found deceased upon the arrival of the deputies.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Criminal Investigations Divisions are looking into the case.
