Saoírse Ruane Obituary-Death News 12 Years Old Girl, Saoírse Ruane Passes Away Following A Long Battle With Cancer
The Ruane family mourns the loss of their dear sister and daughter, Saoírse, who passed away quietly at home on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, following a valiant battle with a protracted illness.
Throughout her illness, Saoírse, who was just 12 years old, received the love, care, and dedication of her family, as well as the prayers and support of the Kiltullagh community and others who cherished her across the nation.
Saoirse was the beloved daughter of Ollie and Roseanna, a devoted big sister to Farrah Rose, a half-sister to Rebecca, and a granddaughter to Anne Ruane, Tony, and Ann Brehony.
She was predeceased by her grandfather Michael Ruane. She was also Willow and Slush’s beloved niece, cousin, and friend. Although Saoírse will be much missed, her teachers and schoolmates at Kiltullagh National School, who joyfully and humorously joined in her journey, will always remember her.
On Friday, March 8, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saoírse will be reposing at home. A bus service will be provided from the Bullaun Church parking lot (H62 YH66).
On Sunday, March 10, at 1:45 p.m., the funeral cortège will arrive at St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Kiltullagh (H65 KC89), and Mass will begin at 2 p.m. Following the Mass, Saoírse will be buried in Bullaun Cemetery (H62 YH66).
The family respectfully asks for your privacy on March 7th, 9th, and Sunday morning, 10th. Additionally, they ask that you respect their pain and give condolences once, particularly on the day of the Mass.
