Vincent Lee Walker Obituary News: The victim of the fatal shooting outside the Lawrence Public Library on Wednesday has been identified as Vincent Lee Walker, 39, of Lawrence. The shooting happened in the 700 block of Vermont Street about 5:10 p.m.
The suspect, identified as Nicholas Beaver, 32, of Topeka, has been taken into police custody. He was arrested at W 6th and Michigan streets, which is less than a mile from the crime scene, per the log.
