Just one day after celebrating his wedding, a newlywed husband lost his life in a tragic accident.
The fatal incident occurred on Monday afternoon on I-40 at mile marker 28, according to the chief of the Fayette County fire department.
The Toyota 4Runner driven by Daniel Palacios III, 27, and Christy Carrillo, 23, was traveling east on I-40 when it went off the road, struck a dirt embankment, and repeatedly overturned, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Then, when their vehicle entered oncoming traffic, it collided with a tractor-trailer. Palacios did not survive the collision, according to the authorities.
A frequent user of I-40, Denis Vann, sent us a video that captured the horrific aftermath of the collision.
He says that in more than 40 years, he has seen the worst car damage.
Vann added, “It looks like the back tire might have blown out, hit the median, and flipped about twenty times when I got closer to the wreck.”
Additionally, Carrillo was wearing a seatbelt while Palacios was not, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The pair got married the day before, according to an online obituary that was taken down on Thursday afternoon.
