Details regarding his final arrangements have now been shared. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm, with a memorial service scheduled for Monday at 1 pm at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. His interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

“It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of our beloved friend James Climer. Our hearts and prayers are with the family. The King added so much to our sport and our lives. May he rest in peace.”

Cause of death

Despite the collective outpouring of prayers and well-wishes, James succumbed to his illness. In his final moments, he was surrounded by the love and care of his family and friends. James had been under hospice care, and as his health declined, he was moved to St Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro.

His son, in an earlier statement, expressed gratitude for the support and urged those who wished to see James to visit him in room 853. The family appreciates the condolences and asks for understanding during this difficult time. James Climer’s legacy in the racing community and beyond will undoubtedly endure, and he will be remembered with fondness and respect by all who knew him.
