Dan McKenna Obituary, Death – We announce with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that Dan McKenna passed away on March 10. He slept soundly and died on his own and at his own pace.
All of his loved ones, friends, and the amazing volunteers he collaborated with for the last 32 years in Central Alberta will miss him. Announcement of the Celebration of Life will follow in the coming months.
On March 13, 2023, Daniel Thomas McKenna, 70, passed away at MercyOne Medical Centre. Dan was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 31, 1952, to Donald and Zita Dahm McKenna. He holds degrees from the University of Northern Iowa and Dowling Catholic High School. Dan was a lab technician for Frye Copy Systems. He was a devoted follower of the New York Yankees and the Green Bay Packers.
Daniel’s funeral liturgy will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1627 Grand Ave, West Des Moines on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. An hour will be dedicated to visiting before mass. The Storm Lake St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery will be the site of the funeral. Donations to Dowling may be donated in Daniel’s honour in place of flowers.
At the age of 66, Daniel McKenna was the devoted son of the late Anna née Carlin and John E. He was also LaVerne Weedling’s brother and a great uncle to many. died on December 9, 2008.
