Death and Obituary of Boss Rapper: Tragically, Detroit rapper Boss, whose true name was Lichelle Marie Laws, has died. On Monday, March 11, 2024, it was revealed that Boss Rapper had passed away. She was Def Jam West’s first female rapper and the first female Gangsta rapper to release music. The 54-year-old boss passed away.
Regarding Boss Rapper Boss, a well-known hip-hop artist who was born in Detroit, was up in a middle-class family with a solid education. In spite of her wealthy background, she went on to have a turbulent life that included drug use and a bad relationship with her parents. After being signed to Def Jam West and having her first album “Born Gangstaz” released in 1993, she was discovered by DJ Quik, and her music career took off.
Boss had health problems and label rejection after moving to Texas in the middle of the 1990s, among other personal and professional setbacks. She persevered in pursuing her love of music and working with other musicians in spite of obstacles. Boss fought renal disease and subsequently turned to the internet community for support in finding a donor. In 2017, she had a seizure and stroke, which severely worsened her condition.
In January 2021, a GoFundMe campaign was started to pay for a suggested medical operation; thanks to the kind donations of supporters, the campaign exceeded its objective. Despite the difficulties she encountered, Boss maintained her fortitude and found solace in her music and the community’s support.

The legendary hip-hop musician BO$$, who rose to prominence as the first female artist signed to Def Jam West, is now hosting a fundraiser. 1993 saw great success for Born Gangstaz, her first album, which peaked at number three on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list. Russell Simmons signed Detroit, Michigan native BO$$ after he was seen by DJ Quik. BO$$ started a radio DJ career in Dallas, Texas, after her success in music. She did, however, have renal illness in 2011, which meant that a kidney transplant was necessary. Then, in 2017, she had a significant stroke and seizure.
Now, in an attempt to improve her health, money is being raised for a specialist operation. She is asking her friends, followers, and extended family for help since the operation is expensive and she wants to make sure she gets the therapy she needs as soon as possible. Assuming a suitable donor is found, the ultimate objective is to get her ready for a kidney transplant. We would be grateful for any donations made in support of our cause.
