Investigators have disclosed fresh details regarding a shooting incident resulting in the death of a woman on Monday in east Orange County.
Deputies responded to the shooting around 7:40 a.m. in the vicinity of Goldenrod Road and Nolton Way.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Muralla De Santiago, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
John Beaucejour, aged 32, has been identified as the suspect by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), and he was promptly taken into custody by deputies.
Beaucejour has been charged with second-degree murder with a firearm and is currently held in Orange County Jail.
Detectives suspect that the shooting arose from a domestic dispute and have affirmed that their homicide investigation is ongoing.
