Brad Johnson Obituary, Death, A Tribute To A Creative Soul

Within a short period of time after his retirement in February of 2016, Brad moved to the state of Florida. For more than thirteen years, Brad served his town and country with distinction, first as a firefighter and emergency medical technician in New Hope, and then as a United States Marine.

For many years, Brad served as both the Executive Officer and a charter member of the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Honor Guard. His charisma, sense of humor, and quick wit will be the things that people remember most warmly about Brad, in addition to the years of loyal work he provided.

Heartfelt condolences are extended to Brad’s family, friends, and coworkers from all of us here at the company. Johnson, who was born in Arizona and raised on a cattle ranch, dropped out of business school just below the point when he would have earned his degree in order to take a rodeo scholarship at the College of Southern Idaho.

Although he was working full-time on the rodeo circuit, he suffered a knee injury in the year 1986. On Thursday evening, his family issued a statement that was filled with sorrow, honoring a man who “lived life to the fullest” but “was taken too early.” The part of Dr. Dominick O’Malley, which Johnson played in the hit Fox drama Melrose Place, which he appeared on in 1996, was the catalyst for Johnson’s meteoric rise to stardom.
