Death: Blozen Evan Obituary: Family grieves the loss of a 23-year-old guy who was shot in Carteret, New Jersey.
According to remarks from Carteret Police Chief Dennis McFadden and Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, Evan Blozen was declared dead after the incident. On Tuesday, March 12, about ten o’clock in the evening, a police response was sent to Roosevelt Avenue.
What they found was a guy who had sustained several gunshot wounds. Blozen was taken to Raritan Bay Medical Center for treatment, but the officials said he died from his injuries. Blozen was sent there for medical care. According to the statement released by the police, an early assessment has shown that this does not seem to be an act of random violence and that there is no apparent danger to the public.

Last week, throughout the day, there was a shooting along Lincoln Avenue that left one man dead and another wounded. A 29-year-old guy from the borough has been taken into custody and is accused of the event. Yhakeem Kornegay turned himself in to the police on Sunday and was charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to statements made by Middlesex County prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carteret chief of police Dennis McFadden. Kornegay is being detained under custody at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick, and a detention hearing is set to take place there.
Authorities were called to the Lincoln Avenue neighborhood at around 1:06 p.m. on May 18 in response to a gunshot report. When the authorities arrived, they found two people who were shot. The prosecutor’s office has said that both victims were taken to a nearby hospital to obtain medical attention for their wounds.
Malik Pandy, a 27-year-old resident of Carteret, died in the hospital from gunshot wounds, according to the prosecutor’s office. Officials from the municipality said that the Nathan Hale Elementary School was put on lockdown as a precaution after the incident.
