In order to preserve Brian Markarian’s legacy, his family and close friends founded the Brian Markarian Death – Brian Markarian Foundation. He was in a horrible vehicle accident on September 20, 2023, and he perished tragically.
“My brothers love for sailing started at a very early age, just like the rest of my siblings and my parents,” the brother said in a Facebook post. He developed a passion for the sport, which he pursued till the end of his life. It was one of the few activities when he felt completely at ease and like himself. That served as his getaway to his happiest self.

He would spend summers sailing the waterways with his loved ones, taking delight in the little things like lakeside showers and picnics. For Brian, sailing was a way of life, not simply a pastime.
His passion for sailing was unwavering. In addition to competing locally, Brian co-founded a sailing programme at his high school and secured a seat in the esteemed World Sailing Championships held in Colombia. For him, sailing was more than simply a sport; it was a life-changing event that gave him virtues like self-assurance, sincerity, and fortitude.

The Brian T. Markarian Scholarship Fund has been created in remembrance of him and his love of teaching others to sail. In keeping with Brian’s vision of promoting sailing worldwide, this fund seeks to provide chances to those who may not otherwise have access to the sport.
By means of the Brian T. Markarian Scholarship Fund, the Markarian family and their loved ones extend an invitation to others to join them in commemorating Brian’s life and continuing his legacy. Together, they want to encourage next generations to experience sailing’s transformational potential as much as he did.
