Cathy Tiller Obituary, Death, Honoring The Memory Of Cathy Tiller
Cathy Tiller Obituary, Death – Another fellow student, Cathy Amerson Tiller, passed away recently, and it is with a heavy heart that I share this news with you. After a three-year fight against cancer, she lost her battle with the disease this morning.
After a brief bout with illness, Kathy Jean Tiller, who was 72 years old and lived in South Sioux City, Nebraska, passed away on January 29, 2022 at a hospital in Sioux City.
There are no services scheduled to take place at this time. Management of the arrangements is being handled by Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Located in Sioux City, Iowa, Kathy Tiller was born on July 13, 1949 to her parents, Norman and Helen (Drum) Tiller.
Up to the time when she became ill with encephalitis and polio at the age of two, Kathy was a lovely and exceptionally bright young child. She was the first person in Sioux City to be diagnosed with encephalitis. Although Kathy lived, she was unable to move or speak after she passed away.
Kathy was brought up in a home that was filled with love, and she continued to reside with her family until she moved into the Regency Nursing Home. She was the most virtuous spirit that ever walked the face of this earth.
Never in her life did she come across a person whom she did not instantly love and offer a smile and a hug to. It was a fun experience for her to ride in the car with her mother and sister. Despite the constraints she faced, Kathy managed to live a fulfilling life.
The loss of Kathy will be felt by many people, but we are certain that she is making amends in our hearts for the seventy years of discussions, of running and jumping, and of being pain free, all of which she was never able to accomplish. Steffanie and Richard DeBoer, both of Bella Vista, Arkansas, are Kathy’s nieces and the only people she leaves behind.
Great nieces are Kelsey and John Barner of South Sioux City, Nebraska, and their daughters Zoe, Jace, Mia, and Lily; Kayla and Chad Hasselbeck of Frontenac, Kansas; and great nephew Kody Barclay and his fiancee Brooke Boyle, along with their daughter Emery, who reside in Homer, Nebraska. Norman and Helen Tiller, Kathy’s parents, passed away before her. Kathy was taken from this world. Luann Davis, a sister, and Lance Tiller, a brother respectively.
