Stevens and James R. Sherman, passed away before her. Her parents, Ruby and John Jones, Sr., were also among those who passed away before her.

The Mankato Mortuary will be open for visitation on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., and the church will be open a full hour before the funeral on Friday. In Mankato, Minnesota, on June 30, 1956, Deb Reed was born to her parents, Ray and Cleo Reed. She was the fourth of eight children. After spending her childhood on a farm just outside of Mankato, Deb eventually relocated to the city and attended Mankato East High School until she graduated in 1974.
She was in high school when she first met her future husband, Ed, and they tied the knot on April 9th, 1976.Since Deb placed a high value on her family, she took on several roles in order to be in close proximity to her children. As a former in-home childcare provider, she frequently gave her time in the classes where her children were enrolled. She then spent nine years working in the food service department for ISD 77. In the year 2000, Deb began her employment at Carlson Craft, where she remained until the presentation of her diagnosis.
It was common to see Deb “at lunch with the ladies” because she enjoyed spending time with many people, including her friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Her and Ed’s favorite activity was playing cards with a large number of their pals. The peaceful time that Deb spent in her garden watching the flowers grow was something that she cherished profoundly. Both she and Ed were excited by the prospect of additional opportunities to travel in the future.
Everyone who knew Deb could not deny that she possessed an unquestionably giving, loving, and kind heart. She was a mother figure, and spending time with her grandkids was one of the things that brought her the most happiness. Throughout their development, she appreciated each stage and traveled to be a part of the crowd in order to encourage their areas of interest. Deb was a constant presence within her family and was filled with an overwhelming sense of pride. The love and devotion that she had for her family resulted in the creation of cherished memories that will be passed down from generation to generation.
A wide range of people were impacted by Deb’s contributions. A lady of strength, courage, resiliency, faith, faithfulness, unselfishness, dedication, optimism, love, and happiness, she is defined as having these qualities. The lives of many people were profoundly altered as a result of her steady and trustworthy behavior; she was a model for others to follow.
