Tragically, Edgar Alarcon of Wichita Falls, Texas, has departed from this life. On Saturday, March 16, 2024, near the junction of Holliday Street and Kell Boulevard West, a horrible accident claimed his life.
Alarcon’s vital signs were absent when the cops discovered him, so they had to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and take him right away to the hospital. Sadly, despite their best efforts, Alarcon’s injuries caused his death.

The driver of the second involved car was a twenty-year-old Wichita Falls native named Dakota Phillips. Phillips needed medical care after being in an accident. After being freed, he was detained and accused of driving under the influence. Sergeant Eipper noted that Phillips was probably moving at a very high speed before to the incident, given the extent of the damage inflicted by Alarcon’s vehicle. There was not a single passenger in any of the cars.
Crash Unit Investigators have indicated that more charges, such as Intoxication Manslaughter, may be made over the occurrence, even though the investigation is still continuing. Sergeant Eipper reports that this is the second fatal accident that has happened in Wichita Falls in 2024.

He has gained the respect of both friends and strangers due to his empathy and openness to listening. He was well-known for these two attributes. Whether it was with words of encouragement or by lending a shoulder, Alarcon was always there to support people in need.
