Jake Tanner Obituary, Death – Leonard was the ninth of ten children to be born into a farming family and lifestyle. He rapidly learned that labor was a must, and that the only kind of work that was necessary was hard work.

Having spent his whole life in Bucks County, Leonard established strong ties to the community through his work as a farmer and proprietor of a business. For a considerable amount of time, he worked alongside his brother Mickey on their dairy farm, where they raised animals, milked them, and produced milk for the villages in the surrounding area.

On the farms at Ivyland, Richboro, and Newtown, he cultivated many types of crops.The “Dairy Store” that he and his brother Mickey started in 1971 initially specialized in selling milk and ice cream. However, over the course of the years, the business has expanded into a full-service market that specializes in selling homemade ice cream and fresh fruits and vegetables from the surrounding area. In 1989, Jake gave up his job. When he was not working, he participated in short track dirt racing, which he enjoyed doing tremendously.

“5 Race Cars” was a collection of automobiles that he once proudly owned. Two of his grandchildren, Tim Jr. and Kenny Jake, continue to carry on his enthusiasm and passion for dirt track racing from generation to generation. During his retirement, Leonard took pleasure in a full day.

He came to the realization that life was too short, so he decided to go enjoy himself, and he did. He particularly liked spending time with Dorothy, his soul mate, as well as with his family, particularly his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Because he was a creature of habit, you could find him at Giuseppe’s Restaurant in Richboro practically every night, where he would enjoy the company of his family and friends. The members of his family and the community that he was devoted to will miss him deeply. A Monroe On Monday, July 13, Leonard Tanner, also known as “Jake,” passed away in a calm and serene manner at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne.

He was a resident of Ivyland. He was 81 years old. Leonard Tanner was the son of William Tanner and Emma Fesmire Tanner, both of whom passed away before his birth. He was the devoted husband of Dorothy A. Burns Tanner for the past 63 years. Leonard was born in Warminster. There were three sisters who passed away before him: Miriam Dilks, Eleanor Kimbel, and Alberta Forsyth. Additionally, there were three brothers who passed away before him: William Tanner, Edwin Tanner, and Walter R. Mickey Tanner.
