Peter Wilkinson Obituary, Death, A Fond Farewell To Peter Wilkinson
Peter Wilkinson Obituary, Death – In the evening, the Club was informed of some extremely unfortunate news. Having been ill for a considerable amount of time, Peter Wilkinson, who was one of the founders of the Club, passed away this afternoon. From the very beginning, Peter was actively involved with the club, serving as the manager of his children’s teams. Following that, Peter served in a variety of committee capacities; most recently, he served as the Club Treasurer and was a pillar of the club for a considerable amount of time.
Throughout his entire life, Peter was a club and clubman. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Peter will mourn his passing since he was a nice and kind man. Please know that Sue and his family are in our thoughts.
As a sign of respect, we will be requesting that our Teams observe a minute of silence during the course of this weekend. The unexpected death occurred on Sunday, November 27, 2022, and the cause of death was an enlarged heart. Even though he was taken away from us far too soon, we take solace in the knowledge that he went away in a short amount of time.
Pete’s birthday was on New Year’s Eve, and he often quipped, “There’s always a party that night!” He was born on December 31, 1955 in Pomona, California. He thought it was a great idea to celebrate his birthday on that day. All of his formative years were spent in the San Diego metropolitan area.
When he relocated to Eugene, Oregon to attend college and play baseball, he came to fall in love with the city, despite the fact that San Diego was a wonderful place to grow up. He considered the years he spent in Eugene to be among his most cherished.
When you knew Pete, you knew that he had a deep affection for the Oregon Ducks. Following his graduation from college, he relocated to the Northern California region and started working for the pizza companies owned by his brother.
He met Cindy, who would later become his wife and the mother of his children, at that location. They had four children: Meredith, Zach, Taylor, and Thaddeus as a result of their marriage, which took place in August of 1980.
Pete was a very hands-on father who was eager to coach all of his children’s teams, cheer them on, and share his adventures in life with them. Pete’s passion for life was unparalleled; he was content to be in the company of his family, friends, and even strangers, regardless of the circumstances. He was completely content with his existence.
