Stephanie O’Driscoll Obituary, Death – Hello, everyone! We are sorry to inform you of some really unfortunate news. Sadly, our good friend Stephanie O’Driscoll died away unexpectedly yesterday. Since the founding of the RCDC in 2016, Steph has been actively connected with the organization and has been a consistent participant in the Haven meet-ups from the very beginning. In all three productions of “Love Me Tinder,” she played the role of Camilla, the waitress, and she was funny in all of her various “chameleon” disguises.
Her favorite disguise was the one that consisted of false breasts and a blonde wig. The most recent time she appeared with us was in November of last year, when she played the role of Grusha in “The Government Inspector.” She left such an impact that a member of the audience immediately recognized her in the English Market after the performance. In addition, Steph has been an essential part of the committee for a considerable length of time over the past few years, and she has invested a significant amount of her time and energy into the advancement of the organization.
We will miss her sense of humor, her generosity, and the stories she told us while we were drinking red wine. The news of her departure has left all of us on the committee in a state of profound disbelief and sorrow. The specifics of the funeral will be published on RIP.ie. Mrs. O’Driscoll spent a significant amount of time working for the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Rail Road. She was an active participant in all of the activities that took place at St. Patrick’s Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild and a communicant participant. Knitting, crocheting, gardening, and taking care of her grandchildren were some of her favorite hobbies.
Her widower, a daughter named Anna T. Nelson and her husband Gerald of Wareham, two sons named Frederick T. O’Driscoll, Jr. and his wife Anne of Wareham, and Neil A. O’Driscoll and his wife Pat of North Carolina, seven grandchildren named Thomas and Daniel Nelson, Nicole, Alicia, Crystal, Stephanie O’Driscoll, and D.J. Reed, and a great granddaughter named Ava Sofia O’Driscoll are among her survivors.
A number of her relatives, including her daughter Lisa Beth O’Driscoll, as well as her siblings Dorothy Armstrong, Rose Whalen, and John Kinlock, passed away before her. There will be no public memorial service for her. The Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be the location of the interment.
