Tommy Mills Motorcycle Accident – In light of the fact that Tommy Mills passed away this morning, we ask that you pray for his family and friends. In addition to being a terrific person, he will be much missed.

Recall them in your thoughts for the days that are to come. The valiant fight that Tommy Ray Mills, a resident of Pearland, Texas, fought against melanoma brain cancer was ultimately unsuccessful on September 22, 2016, in Houston, Texas.

Laird Funeral Home will be hosting a visiting on Sunday, September 25, 2016, from one o’clock in the afternoon to two o’clock in the afternoon. After that, at three o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, September 25, 2016, the graveside service will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

The ceremony will be presided over by Dr. Allen Reed, who served as the pastor of First Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, Texas, until retiring. Houston, Texas was the location where Tommy was born on July 15, 1943.

He went to Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, after completing his high school education at Pasadena High School, which was located in Pasadena, Texas, in 1961. He received his degree from New Orleans Theological Seminary, which is located in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the year 1979.

During his time in the Texas Air National Guard, he served with honor. Before moving to Pearland, Tommy lived in Nacogdoches, Texas, for thirty-two years. Since then, he has been a resident of Pearland for almost two years.

Those who are left behind include his wife of forty years, Leslie Murdy Mills, who resides in Pearland, Texas; his son, Graham Evan Mills, who resides in Oakland, California; his brother, Wilton Walter Mills and his wife, Lynn, who reside in Nacogdoches; his sister, Linda Bass, who resides in Rockport, Texas; a large number of nieces and nephews, as well as cherished aunts and cousins.

In Nacogdoches, Texas, his parents, Tommie Walter Mills and Edith Graham Mills, passed away before him. He is the only child of his parents. As an alternative to sending flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Tommy’s honor to Houston Hospice, which can be found at www.houstonhospice.org; the American Cancer Society; or the Melanoma Research Foundation.
