On March 17, 2024, just after 2 am, Garland Officers were called to a residence in the 4900 block of Captains Place in response to a shooting.
The Garland Police Department and Garland Fire Department arrived on the scene and found one individual who had been shot by an unknown suspect.
Unfortunately, the victim later succumbed to their injuries after being transported to an area hospital.
Officers learned that a disturbance occurred at a party which led to the shooting.
The victim is identified as 20-year-old Drevon Bowman of Dallas.
Garland Detectives are investigating the matter and working to determine the cause of the shooting and identify the person(s) responsible.
