Cal Smith Obituary, Death – The sad news that one of our own, Cal Smith, had passed away was delivered to us yesterday morning. Cal and Bessie have been attending our auctions ever since we first began doing business in the year 2018. Furthermore, in his honor, we will be holding a 72x Gavel Drop on Friday night. We will also be permanently retiring bidder #151. In addition to that, I will be praying for the family and friends of what has happened.
Cal was an extremely talented technician who had a passion for everything related to automobiles. He was a complete addict to automobiles and had more photographs of automobiles than he had of people. Quite frequently, he was able to determine what was wrong with your vehicle before you had even finished telling what the issue was. He was more than fair with the prices that he charged, and he assisted a great number of people in getting back on the road.
The vast majority of individuals who initially acted as customers eventually became friends. Simply put, that was his nature. It wasn’t just autos that Cal fixed. His contagious laugh and smile were enough to brighten even the gloomiest of days. He loved individuals with an all-encompassing and unrestricted affection. In a selfless manner, he provided what you required at the very moment you required it.
There have been a great number of people who have come forward to express their sorrow because Cal has provided for them in some way. There was never a time when he received less than he gave. In spite of the fact that he was not a guy of many words, he was a man of his word. His presence always made things feel more secure and improved. Nobody who knows Cal is unfamiliar with Lady. It was Missy who came before Lady.
Moreover, Bear came first, before Missy. Cal’s dogs have always been taught in such an uncanny manner. They would simply hang out with him while he worked on the automobiles, and they were his constant friends wherever he went. When they would walk up and down the street saying hello to everyone, we used to refer to them as the neighborhood greeters. This was due to the fact that they never attempted to flee the community.
When Cal was driving around in his tiny red vehicle with Missy sitting in the passenger side, that is a moment that I will always recall with great fondness. The two of them would look in opposite directions simultaneously before taking off! The following is merely a brief summary of who Cal was and what he meant to each of us. One of the most brilliant lights in our lives has been taken away. Cal is someone that will be loved, missed, and remembered for all time.
