Police reported a fatal shooting of a woman near Sunset Road on Sunday morning, marking the second deadly shooting in North Charlotte around 5 a.m.
Both incidents, occurring within an 8-minute drive of each other, were confirmed by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to be unrelated.
An unverified source informed Channel3 NOW that this morning’s shooting at Cook Out on Sunset Road involved a male employee who allegedly shot and killed a female coworker.
Following the fatal shooting of a woman near Sunset Road, a Cookout restaurant witnessed a significant police presence.
Authorities urge anyone with information to step forward, although the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) has not yet identified a suspect.
