James Larkin Obituary, Death – James Larkin, who was the beloved husband of Susan Neveu Larkin and the doting father of Jinna Larkin, went into eternal rest on March 11, 2024. He was a dedicated father to Jinna Larkin. Not only did his sister Janice LePore pass away before him, but his parents Hazel Parrish Larkin and Thomas Larkin also passed away before him. He was the last surviving member of his family. Jim spent his entire life in Waterford, New York, where he was born and raised. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1966 and remained there until 1968.
In the course of that time period, he served for a year in the military in Vietnam. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York in Albany, he took his retirement from Momentive, which was previously located in Waterford. Not only does he leave behind his wife and children, but he also leaves behind his nephew and best friend, Gregg George (Laura), as well as his cherished niece, Colleen George, and their respective families.
His grandkids are among the other people who survived. Additionally, his two sisters-in-law, Elaine McAllister and Linda Mrozak, together with their separate families, are among the individuals who will mourn him once he has passed away.
In addition to being a loving son-in-law, Jim was the most fantastic father a young lady could ever want to have in her life. He had a wicked sense of humor and was always the light of the party. He was that kind of person. He was the focus of everyone’s attention at all times.
Jim enjoyed going to new locations, seeing the horses at the Saratoga Race Track, and cheering for the Cleveland Browns; all of these activities were among his favorite things to do. In addition to taking pleasure in all of these activities, he adhered to the concept that life ought to be lived to the best possible extent.
As an additional point of interest, he possessed a profound fondness for canines and was a devoted father to a number of dogs who had been rescued, the most recent of whom was Georgie.
Both running and pickleball were two of Jim’s favorite activities, and he met a lot of wonderful individuals via these activities as well as through his job. Jim’s employment also let him meet a lot of wonderful people. Andy Ramos and Guy Marchand, two of his closest friends, were there to support and encourage him throughout the course of his journey.
They were there for him. Prior to his funeral, Jim will be laid to rest at the Saratoga National Cemetery at some point in the future. A memorial ceremony will be performed in his honor at some point in the future to commemorate his life. This service will be held in his honor.
