Yesterday evening, she was getting her belongings ready for the prom that she was going to attend. The prom was scheduled to take place at roughly this hour. Both she and her buddy Kandis were expected to be present, but neither of them took the effort to show up. It was anticipated that they would be there.
The absence of them came as a surprise to me. On the other hand, it would be absolutely out of character for her to not show up to her prom or to fail to inform her parents that she is doing wonderfully well.
