Martha Lee Obituary, Death – On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, Ms. Martha Ann Lee, who resided in Selma, Alabama, passed away at the age of 73. Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church in Selma, Alabama is going to be the location of the funeral ceremonies that are going to take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at twelve o’clock noon.

After the funeral, the burial will take place in the Sandridge Baptist Churchyard Cemetery, served by Aubrey Larkin’s Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, which is committed to providing exceptional service via the application of specialists.

Martha Pitts Lee, who was 91 years old at the time of her death, passed away on February 24, 2024. She was born to Esco Pitts and Mary McElroy Pitts, both of whom passed away before her birth.

In addition to her three children, Michael Lee and his wife Pamela, Thomas Lee and Patrick Lee, she is survived by two grandchildren, Natasha Newsome and her husband Ryan, and Kaylyn Corbin and her husband Andrew; four great grandchildren, Honey Faith Newsome, Emma Lynn Corbin, JJ Corbin, and Oliver Corbin; and one brother, William Pitts.

Mary Ann Lee, her daughter, who passed away in 1997, was the only member of her family to have preceded her in death, in addition to her parents. At 11:00 in the morning on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, services will be held at the graveside of the deceased at The Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Reverend Jeff Houston will preside over the ceremony. Saturday, February 3, 2024 was the day that TN died away in a calm and serene manner at her house, surrounded by her family. Her brother, Ray Doane, her sister-in-law, Diane Doane, and her brother-in-law, Jack Tipton, all passed away before her.

Her parents, Pete Doane and Bessie Doane, were also already deceased. Her children, her daughter Cindy France (and her husband Randy), her sons Bradley Lee and Barry Lee (and his wife Carrie), her grandchildren Abby Lee, Kyler Lee (and his wife Shannon), Matthew Lee, Lucas Lee, Katelyn Lee, and Raylei France, her brothers Kenneth Doane and Lee Doane (and his wife Genia), her sisters Jessie Smith (and her husband Johnny), Nancy Solomon (and her husband Frank), and Bernice Tipton, her sister-in-law Phyllis Doane, and a large number of nieces and nephews she leaves behind.

Her affiliation with the Timothy Street Baptist Church in Knoxville was a well-known fact. The love that she had for her family, and especially for her grandkids, seemed to fill her entire being.

A graveside service will be held at Thorngrove Church Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, following a gathering of family and friends at 10:45 a.m., with Reverend Tony Hayes serving as the officiant.
