Nysia Rengifo, a 13-year-old student at Ronkonkoma Middle School, has been gone for more than a day. Family relatives and friends are concerned since no one knows where she is. Nysia is five feet tall, with dark, mid-length hair and hazel eyes.
She was last seen on Friday, March 15, at approximately 5:48 p.m., close to her home on Rose Drive in Ronkonoma. She was dressed in shorts, Crocs, and a white t-shirt. She is without a phone or personal items.
There has been interaction with the police. Since they reside close to Beach Club Estate, helicopters were scouring the lake area.
Both the school system and the 4th Precinct of the Suffolk County Police Department have maintained constant contact with her family. A thorough search was started on Friday night and continued throughout Saturday.
