Death of Russell Jankowski We are very grieved by the passing of Russell Jankowski, a beloved athlete and student whose contagious personality brightened the lives of many in Nashville, Tennessee, and the Rhodes College community. Born and raised in Nashville, Russell was the cherished son of Patrick and Lea Jankowski. He was also very close to his brother, Corbin. It was said that he perished in an accident.
At Rhodes College, where he pursued his academic and athletic goals with zeal and determination, Russell’s presence lit up the hallways. He motivated people around him as a student by exhibiting a dedication to excellence and a voracious appetite for information. Russell was an exceptional athlete who excelled in baseball, hockey, and football in addition to his academic endeavors.
