Lynda Thompson Obituary, Death Cause – Through the union of Terrill Ward and Lois (Anderson) Ward, Lynda Ward was born on May 24, 1958 in Baxter Springs, Kansas. She was the result of the union between the two individuals. She is a native of the United States of America. Because she was a member of the graduating class of 1976 at Galena High School, she was awarded the title of Valedictorian.

This honor was bestowed upon her during her time there. Her undergraduate degree was in mathematics, and she obtained it at Missouri Southern State College, where she also received her undergraduate degree. To begin her professional life in 1983 with Empire District Electric Company, she attended the college for her entire undergraduate degree. This was prior to her beginning her professional life. Her position as Customer Service Director at Empire District has been vacant since the year 2018, and she has been retired from that position.

To the contrary, she continued to serve the company in the capacity of a consultant right up until the point at which she became unwell. Over the course of a number of years, she served on the board of directors for the Galena Educational Foundation Scholarship Fund. This was a significant amount of time that she devoted to the organization. In addition, she was accountable for the responsibilities of the secretary position at the nonprofit organization known as Project Help Utility Assistance. In addition to volunteering her time at the Galena Mining and Historical Museum, she was also an active participant in the Galena Chamber of Commerce system.

This is an extra point of interest that she had. She was chosen to serve as a Guard during the course of her many years of service with the PEO, and she was just recently elected to the position of President of the local chapter. Both of these accomplishments occurred quite recently. For the past 35 years, she has taken great pleasure in sharing the joy that she has found in baking with others. She was well-known for her wedding cakes, birthday cakes, cupcakes, and designer cookies. She was also recognized for her designer cookies. A lot of attention was drawn to her because of her cakes.

In Galena, Kansas, on July 30, 1976, she and Steve Thompson exchanged their vows and declared their devotion to one another, which resulted in them becoming husband and wife during their wedding ceremony. She took delight in going to her grandson’s games and other events, in addition to the annual outings that she went on with her sister. All of these activities were enjoyable for her. In spite of the fact that she was restrained and reserved, the fact that she possessed a sense of humor that was sardonic, caustic, and intelligent did not change the reality.

An activity that Lynda and her family enjoyed doing together was going to concerts, and during the course of their time together, they went to over thirty-five different performances. By the end of the day, she made the decision to travel with Paul McCartney, who was her favorite artist. As a wife, mother, daughter, Nana, sister, and aunt, she was a beautiful and incredibly wonderful lady in all of her duties. She was a spectacular and tremendously wonderful girl.
