A statement stating, “I am sharing the passing of Ethan Monshaugen with extreme sadness” served as confirmation of his death. An aortic dissection that occurred spontaneously claimed Ethan’s life. He was an amazing brother and friend, and a really sweet young man. His birthday is April 29, 2007.

Ethan, a 16-year-old star on Moorhead High School’s boys varsity ice hockey team, inspired his coaches and teammates with his upbeat outlook and humble manner. In addition to being a talented athlete, he also epitomises the values of teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship.
His infectious laugh and upbeat demeanour create a welcoming atmosphere both on and off the rink. In addition to his skill set, Ethan is a great complement to the group. His kind and modest manner uplifts everyone in his vicinity. You become more and more in love with the game when you see him play.
Ethan’s impact extends much beyond his ice skating endeavours. Ethan was an excellent student despite having a full schedule that included extracurricular activities, athletics, and school. Despite his busy schedule, he never passes up the chance to interact with his colleagues and provide support or a listening ear when required. He is looked up to by students of all ages as an example because of his kindness and humility.
He had a very positive and open-minded disposition. He was a cherished brother, friend, and son. Everyone will really miss him. Ethan’s humility, modesty, and physical prowess won him the admiration of his peers. His positive outlook was contagious and was beneficial on the rink. With his contagious grin, kind demeanour, and sincere humility, he inspires everyone around him to be their best selves both on and off the ice.

On March 27, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead, will host a visitation in honour of Ethan’s life. He will be buried Christian during a Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM. The funeral will be held in Moorhead’s St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
