DeathDr. Edward Winiecke Obituary – On Tuesday, March 12th, Dr. Edward A. Winiecke passed away while he was surrounded by his beloved family. Both as a spouse and a father, he was committed. At the age of seven, Ed began trying to make some extra money by selling frogs to his friends.

He did this in order to supplement his income. On the other hand, his parents considered it amusing, while his neighbors found it bothersome. The only things that he would charge more for were “special food,” which was actually just grass from his yard, and “swimming lessons,” which was really just frog camp. He would charge extra for each of these things.

The bright careers of his two grandfathers, who were distinguished dentists and ophthalmologists, attracted him from a young age, motivating him to pursue a career in the medical industry. In spite of the fact that he had no desire to pursue a career in law, Ed committed a significant amount of his time to serving on honor code committees, where he was responsible for ensuring that other residents and students adhered to established guidelines for medical ethics. Because of his strong moral compass, he was given this responsibility. Ed possessed a remarkable level of intelligence and a deeply charitable nature.

A Master of Medical Science (M.D.) degree with concentrations in internal medicine and anesthesiology, a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and analytical chemistry, and a Bachelor of Science degree in human anatomy and physiology are all part of his diverse academic background. His duties in the United States Army Special Forces included serving as a paratrooper, a medic, and a light weapons specialist.

In addition, he graduated from St. John’s Military Academy as the top student in his class. In addition, after completing two years of chiropractic school, he made the decision to emphasize internal medicine and anesthesia as his primary areas of practice. Over the course of his more than twenty years of experience in the medical sector, he was able to soothe nervous patients in emergency rooms and monitor their vital signs while they underwent intense surgical procedures.

The constant assistance that Ed’s loved ones received from the compassionate physicians and nurses at AngelsGrace Hospice throughout his final days was of the utmost importance to them. Instead of sending flowers as a way to honor Ed’s memory, his family has requested that donations be sent to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

On Thursday, March 21, 2024, between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 PM, Pagenkopf Funeral Home will have a viewing to commemorate the life of this exceptional individual.
