An incident occurred at the Quality Inn in Harrodsburg on Danville Rd. around 2:35 a.m. A 911 call reported a suicidal individual in one of the rooms.
Upon arrival, the subject fired at officers. Harrodsburg PD retreated and requested assistance from the KY State PD.
The KY State Negotiator and Tactical Team arrived and assumed control of the situation.
The subject was apprehended without further incident at 8:52 a.m.
During the ongoing situation, God’s Treehouse Daycare was informed and delayed its opening, and the Mercer County School system was notified, resulting in school buses in the affected area being delayed until the situation was deemed safe.

- Harrodsburg Police Dept.
- Ky State Police Dept.
- Harrodsburg Fire Dept.
- Mercer County Emergency Services
- Mercer County Emergency Management LEPC
As of 0930 some Harrodsburg PD officers were still on scene, all other units have cleared.
