NAVY YARD MANHUNT—Law enforcement pursues armed suspect believed to be barricaded in the Illume building near I St off New Jersey Ave SE. SWAT teams are currently conducting a search operation.
As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.
Message from ILLUME: We urgently need to inform you that the police have notified us about the presence of an armed suspect in the vicinity.
It is imperative that all residents remain indoors and secure their doors until further notice. We will promptly update you as soon as we receive confirmation that the area is safe.
No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.
