Lloyd Collins Obituary, Death –  The 4th of September, 1958 found Lloyd “MR” Dean Collins being born in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents, Ellis “Lucky” Collins and Janice Collins, were his parents. In a family with two children, he was the eldest. Everyone who knew Lloyd was aware of the profound passion he had for racing. The beginning of this love may be traced back to his early youth, when he would spend his weekends at Riverside with his parents and sister, Cassie, watching dirt track races being held there. His wife, Rochelle, was the one he met at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, in the year 1995.

Rochelle was working at the reception counter at St. Luke’s Hospital at the time that Lloyd was due to undergo surgery there. Despite the fact that she was quite busy at work, Lloyd still made the decision to invite her out to lunch, and the rest, as they say, is history. The three children that they had together were Shane, Michelle, and Joshua. Together, they established a family that was blended. As the years passed, he continued to develop a passion for automobiles and racing, which eventually led him to pursue a career in insurance as an auto claims adjuster. He worked alongside his father, Lucky, until 1996, when he made the transfer to Country Companies.

Through the course of his career, he worked his way up until he retired in 2019. While he was still working for Country Companies, his passion for racing drove him to develop an even deeper interest in dirt track photography, which ultimately resulted in the establishment of FastTrack Photos.

Because of this, he was able to take advantage of a multitude of chances, one of which was working for the Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) as a traveling photographer. When you couldn’t find Lloyd on a Friday or Saturday evening, you could practically bet that he was at the racetrack doing what he enjoyed, which was evading automobiles in order to capture those wonderful photographs.

On March 25, 2024, Lloyd passed away while he was surrounded by other members of his family and loved ones. Both of Lloyd’s parents, Janice and Lucky Collins, as well as his daughter, Amie Collins, passed away before him.

His wife Rochelle Collins, his children Shane Massing (and his wife Tiffany), Michelle Collins (and her husband Deron), and Joshua Williams (and his wife Nick), as well as his grandchildren Sierra, Zachary, Dakota, Junior, Jesse, and Kinsley, are among those who survive him. His sister Cassandra (Bud) Ellis and his niece Breezi (Jerrod) Maciel are also among those who are able to carry on his legacy.
