Subsequently, he utilized his passion for coaching baseball to secure a position as the manager of The Hitters Edge.

Over the course of his life, he served as a coach for Orefield Baseball, North Parkland Baseball, and Parkland High School Junior Varsity, where he worked as an assistant coach with his son Lee, who was the head coach. Once upon a time, he was a member of the Jordan U.C.C.

Moyer and her husband Alice Evans, of Birmingham, Alabama; his grandchildren, Colin, Nora, and Moss; his brother, Dave Moyer, of Florida, who was preceded in death by his wife Sandy; his sister, Doris, and her husband Tom Hunsicker, of Schnecksville; and his sister, Ann Koren, of Neffs, who survived his husband Dan Koren.
