James Moore Obituary, Death – James A. Moore, a well-known author of horror and fantasy, passed away this morning at the age of. He was the author of more than fifty horror and fantasy novels, some of which received critical acclaim.

These novels include Fireworks, Under the Overtree, Blood Red, the Serenity Falls trilogy (which features his recurring anti-hero, Jonathan Crowley), and the grimdark fantasy series Seven Forges and Tides of War. Moore also collaborated with his longstanding colleague Charles R. Rutledge on the writing of a number of novels and short tales. His early career highlights included important contributions to White Wolf Games’ setting of Darkness.

He was especially pleased of his first comic book screenplay sale, which were to Marvel Comics original series set on the setting of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser. His early career highlights included major contributions to World of Darkness.

Jim, a prolific and varied writer, has written novels that are based on a variety of media properties, such as Alien, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and The Avengers. For his novel Serenity Falls, he was nominated for the Bram Stoker Award three times. He was a persistent advocate for other writers and the work they produced. He served as a mentor to a large number of aspiring writers, encouraging them to pursue their passion for storytelling again and over again. Tessa Moore, his wife, and the countless people who read his work are to carry on his legacy. A celebration of life will take place at some point in April, but there are no plans for a wake or funeral at this time.
