Peter Merz Obituary, Death – My deepest condolences go out to you all in light of the fact that I had to break the news to you all about the passing of Peter Merz yesterday evening. Please accept my love and support during this difficult time. It is with a great lot of grief and a profound sense of suffering that I am carrying out this action.
Peter played a huge part in the total experience that he had while he was at camp, and he will continue to play that role in the years to come. It was impossible to conceive of a day that would have been the same without him because he was such an essential component of New Day’s vitality.
From a personal standpoint, I would want to bring to your attention the fact that Pete was a dear friend of mine whom I have known for the best part of three decades. He is someone I have known for a considerable amount of time. One of the two Rons that New Day was familiar with, he was also a member of the Ron family.
New Day was familiar with both of them. The memory of our dance, along with the endless conversations we had about New Orleans, John Wayne, and pretty much everything else in life, will remain entrenched in my mind for the rest of my life. I am not going to forget it ever.
To the same extent that I am certain that he has played a large role in the growth of a great number of us, I am also certain that he has played a significant role in my development as a student at New Day. I was one of the first people I met at camp, and I am fairly certain that he has had a significant influence on my development. I am quite confident about this.
I was able to meet him as one of the people. We shall continue to adore and dedicate ourselves to you, Pete, till the end of eternal time. If you ever need us, we will be there for you. In the event that I come into possession of any piece of information regarding the services, I will make it a point to communicate it to you as soon as I discover it.
