Chris Smelley South Carolina Missing – American Football
Anybody who spots Chris Smelley, the former Gamecock, or his blue and black kayak should get in touch with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office right away at (850)-892-8111. Chris, the 37-year-old kayaker who went missing around 8:30 am, was out fishing in his blue and black kayak when he vanished from sight.
He vanished into the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Grayton Beach, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, who has been actively searching for him.
Jet skis from the South Walton Fire District and the WCSO are searching for him off the coast of Grayton Beach.
Notification has been sent to the US Coast Guard located in Mobile. Florida Fish and Wildlife is traveling eastward toward Grayton after taking off from the inlet at Destin Pass.
As the Coast Guard looks for Chris Smelley, the former quarterback for South Carolina and Tuscaloosa American Christian Academy, prayers are requested for his friends and family.
Chris is wed and has four kids. He is Sylacauga (AL) High School’s head football coach. He has served as an assistant at ACA, Hillcrest, and Hoover High Schools.
Everyone was shocked to learn that Chris had gone missing.
