CHICAGO — A woman was killed and at least four other people were injured early Saturday in the city’s Austin neighborhood.
According to police a group of people were inside a business in t he 5300 block of West Madison when a person fired multiple shots at a group of people.
Police said a 19-year-old woman was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.
A 17-year-old girl was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Additionally, a 20-year-old woman was shot in the leg and face and taken to the hospital in good condition. Another 19-year-old woman was shot in the ankle and taken to the hospital in good condition. A 16-year-old girl was shot in the toe and taken to the hospital in good condition.
The person with the gun fled the scene.
No one is in custody. Police are investigating.
