Jamie Sue (Morrow) Arnold Obituary, Lifetime Resident of Dayton, Has passed away at age 87

Jamie Sue (Morrow) Arnold Obituary, Death – Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga was the location where Jamie Sue (Morrow) Arnold, who was 87 years old and from Dayton, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. She was the daughter of Charles Chester Morrow and Eula Mae (Sneed) Morrow, both of whom passed away before her birth on August 11, 1936. She was born in Dayton. Her husband, Ray Farrell Arnold, Sr., as well as her stepmother, Audrey Morrow, her twin brother, John Morrow, her brothers Bob Morrow, Jim Morrow, Robert Cordell, and Herbert Cordell, and her sisters Mildred Day, Merlie Fairchild, Ruth Mickel, and Fayrene Wilkey, all passed away before her. She was also predeceased by her stepmother.

In 1954, Jamie received his high school diploma from Rhea Central High School, where he had successfully completed his high school education. Prior to her retirement, she had also established and managed a dairy farm with her husband. This was in addition to her retirement from La-Z-Boy, which she had previously established.

In addition to being a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Evensville, she was also a member of the Evensville Home Demonstration Club and the Racing Club 3 Silver Sneakers. She was a member of all three aforementioned organizations. The three organizations that were mentioned earlier all counted her as a member.

Among the members of Jamie’s family who are still alive are her children, Ray “Farrell” (DeAna) Arnold Jr. and Allyson Walker, who both currently reside in Dayton. Katie Arnold, who hails from Chattanooga, Chad Arnold, who is engaged to Kirsten, hails from Dayton, and Garrett Walker, who hails from Chattanooga, are her grandchildren.

All three of her sisters hail from Dayton: Phebe Frazier, Wanda Garrison, and Trit (Butch) Majors. In addition, she is survived by her brother Tommy Morrow from Evensville, as well as her sisters Peggy Crawley and Lorene Porter, both of whom reside in Chattanooga.

On Monday, April 1, 2024, at five o’clock in the afternoon, funeral services for Jamie will be held in the chapel of the funeral home. Her pastor, Reverend James Rogers, will preside over the ceremony. Immediately following the conclusion of the service, she will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens, next to her husband.

A number of individuals, including Jamie’s nephews Daryl Garrison, Phillip Garrison, Alan Garrison, Chris Frazier, Scott Morrow, Harold Morrow, Donnie Mikel, Mike Morrow, Jeremy Majors, Mark Crawley, Butch Morrow, Bob Vann, Greg Morrow, Richard Day, Smokey Day, Eddie Day, and Bill Day, are serving as pall bearers and honorary pall bearers.
