Death and Obituary of Jared Meyers Jared On Thursday, March 7, 2024, Sean Meyers, a 28-year-old Ellwood City, Pennsylvania resident, died away in the UPMC Jameson Hospital. On August 13, 1995, Jared Meyers was born in Ellwood City. He was raised by Sean Meyers and Rebecca (Funk) Keefer. During his time at Lincoln High School, where he graduated with the 2014 class of students, Jared was a highly esteemed athlete.

Among his many successes were becoming the football team’s captain, ranking among Ellwood City’s best rushers, playing in the football game against Penn State, and qualifying for the state championship in track and field. During that period, Jared operated and co-owned the Meyers Auto Group with his father, Sean. He was described as being “everything to everyone, all the time.”

He had a strong sense of self-motivation to provide his family and the community the best version of himself. Whether it was to crack a joke, share a remarkable story, or just to offer you one of his renowned tight hugs, his presence was always felt. Jared was constantly in the know and had a grin that could light up a room. He was passionate about cars, motorcycles, scooters, and everything associated with the automotive business.

Jared takes great delight in being a very engaged part of the Peloton community, in addition to being a top 1% achiever. The last remembrance of Jared will be that he was an exceptional husband, father, brother, and friend. All those who had the honour of getting to know him will really miss him.

Jared is survived by his spouse, Cassidy (Court) Meyers, whom he married on October 19, 2019, his cherished son and “mini-me,” Gryphon Jared Meyers, both of Ellwood City; mother, Rebecca Keefer and her fiancé Mark Mathias of Monroeville; father, Sean (Shelli) Meyers of New Galilee; sister, Morgan Meyers and her fiancé Billy Plante of Baltimore; maternal grandmother, Joan “E-Ma” Funk of Fombell; paternal grandparents, Warren and Denise Meyers of North Sewickley Township; step-grandmother, “Grammy” Linda McBride of Enon Valley; father-in-law, Mayor Tony Court of Ellwood City; mother-in-law, Stacy Court of Ellwood City; nephew, Conner Carr; brother-in-law, Kevin Court; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends survive him.

Leslie McBride, his stepgrandfather, and Skip Funk, his maternal grandfather, both died before him. Out of his extensive family, he was the last. On Sunday, March 10, 2024, from noon until six o’clock in the evening, there was a viewing at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory. Reverend Bobby Griffith officiated at a private burial service for the family on Monday.
