Don Nicholas, a retired career military officer who directed the local office of District 25 Congressman Roger Williams for more than ten years, passed away, according to an announcement made by Williams’ office on Monday. Roger Williams was a member of the United States Congress. In addition to serving as a member of the House Financial Services Committee, Williams, a Republican from Weatherford, is the chairman of the House Small Business Committee.
Previously, the congressional district of Williams included a piece of the Killeen-Fort Cavazos region, which included Copperas Cove, parts of western Killeen, and a portion of the military installation. Throughout the years that I knew Don, he worked tirelessly to improve not only his town but also his state and his country. It was his parents, Joe Nicholas and Mildred Nicholas, who passed away before he passed away. In addition, he leaves behind three grandchildren and one great-grandchild when he passes away.
