Grant Seymour Mitchell Obituary, Death Cause – On March 31, 2024, Grant Seymour Mitchell, who had reached the age of 94 at the time of his passing, made his final journey on this earth. On January 18, 1930, in the relatively isolated community of Roosevelt, Utah, Seymour Young Mitchell and Gladys Wilkins Mitchell became parents for the first time. They welcomed their son into the world. Throughout his lifespan, he had two brothers named Orman Mitchell and Kay Mitchell. Following the completion of his high school education, Grant worked in a number of different occupations before joining the Navy on November 15, 1950, in the capacity of a radar operator. Up to the day he was called up to serve during the Korean War on September 9, 1954, he continued to serve in the Navy all the way through.
Following his discharge from the Navy, Grant went on to have a daughter named Gail Mitchell and a marriage that lasted for a few years. Together, they had a daughter. Following the completion of his education, he sought employment at Convair Aeronautics, where he eventually became an electronics technician. On the 16th of June in 1961, he and Belva Jane Kidd tied the knot in the presence of the Los Angeles Temple, which is located in the state of California. Their three sons were named Michael, Robert, and Darrin. They had three grandchildren. He purchased a gas station and service station in Lancaster, California, and then, in 1969, he and his wife sold the service station and moved to St. George, Utah, in order to be closer to their family.
He did this in order to be closer to his family. Additionally, they bought a home in the city of Washington, Utah. Pepsi Cola hired Grant as a service technician less than a year after they arrived, and he eventually left that position in the year 1996.
Over the course of his career, Grant worked for Pepsi Cola. hobbies that Grant truly enjoyed doing in his spare time included working at the Temple, fishing, hunting deer, maintaining a vegetable garden, and spending time with Pinto at their cabin. All of these hobbies were performed in his spare time. His greatest passion was directed toward his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He thought the world of them.
His youngest brother, Orman Mitchell, his daughter Gail and her husband Thomas, his son Mike and his wife Wendie, his son Rob and his wife Erin, and his son Darrin and his wife Nicole, as well as seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, are among those who are able to carry on his legacy. All of his loved ones, including his parents, his brother Kay Mitchell, and his loving wife BJ, perished before he did.
The Washington Main Street Chapel, which can be found in Washington, Utah at 82 North Main Street, is going to be the location of the funeral ceremonies that are going to take place on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
