Tomas Garza Obituary, Death Cause –The Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned, Kansas was the location where Dr. Tomas Garza passed away on March 30, 2024. His parents, Emede Garza and Odilia DeLaCruz, welcomed him into the world on December 29th, in the city of Corpus Christi, Texas. In 2012, he relocated from Caldwell, Texas, and has been residing in the Larned area ever since. In addition to his roles as a Medical Supervisor, colleague, provider, and friend, he began his employment at Larned State Hospital.
Between the years 1990 and 1994, he was a member of the United States Marine Corps. In addition, he worked as a truck driver and did a great deal of other things. It was the Southern Baptist faith that he adhered to. He participated in a number of activities at Macksville High School, in addition to being a member of the American Legion Riders and the Fort Larned Arms Association.
Just before he left the house, Tomas would always say, “Well, I’m going to go be a productive member of society.” The people who knew him only saw a small piece of the puzzle that made him a guy larger than life. He accomplished so many wonderful things, but they only saw a small part of it.

In Memphis, Tennessee, on February 18, 1991, he tied the knot with his closest companion and accomplice in criminal activities, Elida Peña. Beginning with the Marine Corps and continuing all the way to Kansas, she followed him everywhere he went.
As the Pinky to his Brain, she would always ask, “Mor, what are we doing tomorrow?” and he would respond by saying, “The same thing we do every day, Pinky, try to take over the world!” She would always ask his Brain this question. A mother named Odilia Vargas, who resides in San Antonio, Texas; a son named Tomas Garza Jr., who is married to Samantha and lives in Converse, Texas; a daughter named Angel Mia Garza, who also lives in Converse, Texas; four brothers named Enrique (Lori) Garza, Arturo Garza, Joe Vargas, and Roberto Garza, all of whom reside in San Antonio, Texas; and a granddaughter named Mia Elida Garza.
His father, Emede Garza, and his brother, Gilberto Garza, passed away before him. He was the last of this family. Sunday, April 6, 2024, at ten o’clock in the morning, the funeral will take place at the United Methodist Church in Larned, with Dr. Kurt Davis serving as the officiant.
