An collision involving two automobiles in Russell County on Friday morning killed a Fort Mitchell man, police said. Authorities say the crash occurred on Alabama 26 at the 12-mile marker at 8:22 a.m. on Friday, April 5.
Christian A. Finney, 25, drove a 2017 Chevrolet Express van that collided head-on with Valley’s 48-year-old James A. Land’s 2004 Kenworth tractor-trailer. Deathly injuries killed Finney. They reported Finney’s death at the spot. ALEA troopers said the collision’s cause is under investigation.
