Aaron Alcala Hernandez Obituary – Aaron Alcala Hernandez, aged 37, was tragically killed after being struck by a vehicle in southeast Austin last week.
The incident occurred on East Riverside Drive near Shore District Drive at around 2:26 a.m.
The driver, Dontay Waffer, 33, has been taken into custody and charged with an Accident Involving Death and DWI.
Despite efforts by Austin-Travis County EMS to save Hernandez, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
This marks the 24th fatal crash in Austin for the year 2024, resulting in a total of 24 fatalities.
