Chazan Page Obituary – Authorities have reported that a tragic hit-and-run incident took the life of a football player at Tennessee State University.

The victim, 20-year-old Chazan Page, was struck by a driver while crossing Gallatin Pike. The university’s athletics department has confirmed his passing.

In a statement, TSU Director of Athletics Dr. Mikki Allen expressed the profound impact Page had on those around him. He was known for his exceptional leadership both on and off the field, his positive attitude, and his genuine care for others.

The loss of Chazan is deeply felt within the athletics family, and he will be greatly missed. Dr. Allen extended his thoughts and prayers to the football student-athletes, coaches, families, and friends affected by this tragedy.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. near Marion Avenue in Nashville. Page was struck by a red sedan or a small SUV traveling north on Gallatin Pike at a high speed.

The vehicle involved is expected to have significant front-end damage. Page was immediately taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. His loss is deeply felt by the TSU community.

Page had an impressive football career, playing in 28 games for TSU and starting in all 11 games during his last two seasons. He was anticipated to be a key player on the offensive line in his senior season. Additionally, he played football during his time at Lipscomb Academy.
